The Tulpar's ghosts, however, were still attached to the ship, and they're now part of a new ship- The Lucid, working under Red Giant Industrial. One night, Lucid's copilot finds himself in a strange nightmare-- though it may be more real than he initially thinks.

Summary
The crew of the Tulpar are only around 130 days into their long-haul shipment, but are interrupted by a distant SOS communication. Astronautical law stipulates that any and all distress signals that are received in deep space are responded to and assisted as long as the ship is in position to do, so Captain Curly adjusted the Tulpar’s course to see if they could do anything to help the stranded vessel.
They didn't expect this wrecked ship to look like a carbon copy of the Tulpar. They couldn't possibly have expected what they found on board.
Tensions rise as Curly desperately tries to understand the situation - how this possibly could have happened, what led up to the grisly events they saw the end results of, and whether or not the same fate is destined to befall them.Or: after Jimmy commits suicide, the ruined corpse of the Tulpar drifts through space before a one-in-infinity quirk of space-time pulls it through a wormhole and spits it out 7 months into the past, right into the path of its previous incarnation.

In an alternate universe, having not yet lost all faith in humanity, in a final, desperate bid for help, Anya sends a distress signal from the Tulpar into outer space during the days leading up to her overdose.
This leads to Jimmy's reign of terror being intercepted by a passing vessel before anyone dies.
It does not, however, lead to Jimmy's actions being undone, nor does it lead to the dismantling of the capitalist dystopia in which the crew of the Tulpar live. It's not easy to return to earth when you've been surviving in hell.
What it does do, is present an opportunity for each crew member to foster hope, friendship and healing.
Perhaps, despite it all, everything will be alright, in the end.
This is going to hurt, but maybe not forever.

This is not a happy story. This isn't some fairytale romance that completely erases all that's happened. The main character doesn't save the day or change the timeline. He's nothing but a hidden prequel. He's not meant to be loved, he may be hated. Either way, he's just a psychology case I want to explore. I have not nor claim to have created an accurate interpretation of the characters in Mouthwashing. Especially since My OC interacts mainly with a character who has not has his personality fully portrayed in the game, and personally I believe there is a point to that. We cannot claim to know the depths of someone's mind, what motivates them, what scares them. You are free to hate Curly off your analysis and assumptions all you please. You are free to find the aspects I have come up with to be inaccurate. You're not obligated to read this. But if you do, I hope it suffocates and confuses you in the way it did when I was writing it. I hope it makes you wonder what can make someone act and think a certain way, because it all comes from somewhere.] -
