Almost a year has passed since the events of ‘The Trouble with HELL’, and award-winning true crime podcasters Anthony Crowley and Aziraphale Eastgate are enjoying their Christmas shopping when they receive a phone call from the recently appointed Celestial Dairy’s CEO Muriel Lightfeather, who invites them to a charity gala that will take place on Christmas Eve. Crowley is almost done writing the long awaited sequel to his first novel Murder on the M25 and Aziraphale is focusing on his podcast Mystery Haven so, when the evening takes an unexpected dramatic turn and they find themselves having to track down a murderer, they decide to team up and investigate on what is about to become the scariest (but also horniest) night of their lives.

He suddenly felt like something under a magnifying glass, the crisp sunlight of Aziraphale's attention multiplying its power under the lens.or
Aziraphale really wants to try out roleplaying in the bedroom. Crowley loves to indulge his angel but perhaps he auditioned for the wrong role here? His wife is ready to teach him how to get into it.

At last, the stuff of Crowley's dreams and formerly baseless optimism has become reality. The universe did, evidently, decide to look after him and Aziraphale (and the rest of the world into the bargain). They’re safe, or as close to safe as possible. They’re free, to an extent he never thought could be possible. They’re able to spend time together, to live in comfort together, to publicly admit to being together. Life is, all in all, beautiful.
Which, of course, is why Crowley has spent the past hour pacing their cottage, unable to relax.
