Anakin’s presents remained in her yacht. Her commlink, better dresses, the memory of the navy computer cramped with her nonexistent route. From Mustafar towards Tatooine straightly to be disintegrated in a middle point between two planets. A bomb was an easy device to make, especially with a primitive timer. According to the calculations, what remained of Padme Amidala now was gone for thirty-six minutes. She deserved no panikhida, her name to be forgotten in the new order.
And a new identity to be made. Palpatine taught her well, his protege and pawn, and Padme - or what a name she'd choose - was going to pay him off in double. -

The focus is not on romance, but on survival: Joy endures his cruelty, protects her children however she can, and lives through the day-to-day reality of being trapped with a Sith who sees her only as his possession.

After learning a chilling truth, Padme finds herself the captive of the ruthless Darth Vader, a.k.a. Anakin, the boy who saved her life nearly a decade ago before disappearing without a trace. She isn’t really sure why he let her live, but she knows she must find a way to warn the galaxy about Palpatine before it’s too late.
Darth Vader doesn’t know why Padme is still alive either, and he absolutely can not ever let his master find out.
