or: the long-ago disbanded eternals are spread out across the globe. when a horrifying event strikes, the eternals are forced to find each other and defeat an enemy they thought was long gone.

I found the MCU film Eternals (2021) to be a bit disappointing on the writing front. Here's a short outline on what I would have liked to see instead.
