George paused at that for a moment, and Paul started wrestling on his shirt. “I thought you usually liked that.”
“Yes, but someone heard me and he…” Paul stopped. “He resisted.”
George’s feet shuffled the sand. “That’s bad, right? I mean, not just that your magic doesn’t work—”
“Yeah. It means—” Paul took a deep breath and finally looked George in the eye. “It means I’m gonna die.”

In a world where fear of the unknown can prove deadly, Paul and George try to hide what they truly are, which becomes complicated with the intervention of a demon who has his own secrets and a lonely gargoyle who is willing to go against his nature to protect the monsters he is supposed to protect against. But the four of them must ally when a band of monster hunters, magic themselves, catch wind of an unusual siren roaming the waters around Liverpool. -

After graduating high school in 1960, Mona Jensen, a sweet country girl from rural Connecticut, moves to California with her best friend Susie Lyndell. While working as a roller-waitress at a drive-in, she meets the man of her dreams, a tall and gangly Texan named Mike Nesmith. A shotgun wedding and a few ads in the back of a trade paper change their lives forever. Will fame and fortune make or break them?

Summary
A whole 1960s music culture placed into a high school.
Music teacher Mr Epstein announces the school battle of the bands, seeing school bands regroup and form around him. It looks like it's going to be a good competition this year, but the head teacher, Mr Kirshner, is out to promote the school's award winning band- The Beatles- while he seeks controls the new popular group- The Monkees- to make sure they fail.
Meanwhile, school girl (and boy) crushes, fights and friendships lead to the usual high school drama amongst all of them.
