Summary
Set in 1966, this story explores the emotional unraveling of John Lennon as Paul McCartney embraces a bold, vibrant new world in London’s avant-garde scene. At the height of his charisma and curiosity, Paul is surrounded by artists, intellectuals, and cultural provocateurs like Robert Fraser, Peter Asher, and John Dunbar. He’s experimenting with sound, art, and identity, building something beyond The Beatles. John, meanwhile, is stuck in suburban Weybridge, watching from the outside. Isolated and increasingly jealous, he feels abandoned by Paul, his oldest creative partner and closest emotional bond. When John tries to follow Paul into this new circle, he finds himself overwhelmed, alienated, and out of step with the people and ideas Paul now seems to prefer.
The deeper Paul falls into the underground, the more dangerous things become for Paul. The new friends he is inspired by and trusts, turn on him and he finds himself in a dangerous situation that could cost him his life.

Summary
Back then, everyone had a pipe dream. John swore his band would make it big someday, but Paul never believed that, and so his dream was just to become a teacher. Ritchie only ever wanted to open a record shop, and George wanted nothing but domestic bliss.
Well, that’s all they were: pipe dreams.
The Beatles never made it big, though John became something of a rock and roll darling until-like all good celebrities-he was shot by a deranged fan. Paul ultimately did become a teacher, but burned bridges with John in the wreckage of the band. George eventually settled down with Ritchie and, in spite of everything, had four children.
Oh, and Ritchie? He opened his record shop after all, only to spend all of its profits on booze and throw all real responsibility at John’s son.
But once, not long ago, Ritchie did the impossible and sobered up. He managed for five years, and for once, he was happy.
Now Ritchie is falling apart again, George is miserable, Paul has given up on them both, and to the surprise of everyone, John is back in Liverpool, whittling away the late eighties as a reclusive househusband.
But they say, “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
Whether that’s true, time will tell.

Summary
On December ninth, 2030, Paul McCartney was found dead in his home.
And how coincidental it was that he passed on the morning after the fiftieth anniversary of John Lennon's death.
Having been the final remaining Beatle, and having not outlived Yoko Ono, Paul took initiative and filmed a final, grand statement to be released upon his death. He spoke about everything: starting with that fated summer in '57 at the festival in Woolton, and about all throughout his life and career as a rock legend. He would also revisit and refine his previous statements about John Lennon, who he sites as his sole muse for this documentary, finally unveiling the true nature of their complicated relationship and rumored love affair that had been continually denied, until now.
He even spoke, at last, about what truly happened during the band's trip to India in 1968: the trip that undeniably changed the chemistry between the Beatles forever, especially between himself and Lennon.
Because there were many things that Sir James Paul McCartney had not spoken truthfully of: both now, and then.

A straight-lined full-draped jacket with broad square shoulders and velvet cuffs. His drainpipe trousers hug his legs in a way that’s hazardously flattering. He smooths a hand over his pink-striped waistcoat, grinning like a loon at his reflection. He has never felt this empowered, this invincible, this dangerous.
The oily sculpture of his jelly-rolled quiff gleams in the light streaming in through the window - a literal illumination occurring in the humble bedroom of one young John Lennon.
This is what he wants to do. This is what he wants to be.
