Kaeya would admit, he’d considered it. He’d pictured how it would play out, too, five scenarios, if he were being exact.
But he restrains himself, because he has something even better. He peers out of their booth again, at where Donna is leaning closer and closer into Diluc’s personal space, while Diluc is none the wiser and pointing to something in the textbook laid out in front of them. Diluc is talking about math. Donna probably isn’t even listening.
Kaeya reaches into his pocket and fiddles with the smooth, plastic object inside.
At the far table, Diluc jumps.
