Summary
Mere weeks have passed since Arthas Menethil set sail for Northrend, racing towards the Frozen Throne. Sylvanas Windrunner, from being mere moments from claiming her vengeance, finds herself further away from that goal with each passing day. Shunned, distrusted and hated, her Forsaken are without friends in a world that has no place for them. Beset by the Scourge and the rising Scarlet Crusade and with far too few resources, the Dark Lady grows increasingly desperate. She would ally with almost anyone if it would give her people a chance. The sudden arrival of two unlikely visitors inadvertently leads her to consider a small city state across the sea, reputedly ruled by an archmage with a certain history with a certain prince.
A story mainly revolving around Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmoore and the Dark Rangers. Several other characters and their relationships make an appearance from time to time.
And commentary and constructive criticism is allowed and encouraged, if I need to spell that out. Doesn't matter how big or small, deep or shallow. Keysmash or spam emojis at your heart's desire if you find it as hard as I do to think of what to say :)

Summary
Jaina Proudmoore always prided herself in her discipline and diligence for her people. However, as an ambassador of the Alliance, despite her vast powers, she was expected to behave as a model citizen at all times. Even in the presence of harsh insults and danger, she was frequently bound and limited by her responsibilities and ever-growing expectations.
That was her daily life until she foolishly decided to get herself stabbed by the cursed runeblade of an ominous king. She thought that was the end of the line... but she was wrong. Within the cold's embrace, she found true freedom to fulfill her deepest desires, pursue selfish passions, make new enemies and maybe finally settle the score with a very old one.

Summary
Jaina Proudmoore has invited the Forsaken to Theramore but it is not going well. To make a stand against the mounting prejudice against her undead friends she hosts a masquerade ball where everyone will meet on more equal footing.
With the help of the dark rangers she has gotten a phenomenal costume ready, and she has the lines to go with it.
Sylvanas' disguise is less elaborate, but at the same time far too much.

Baine doesn’t trust her.
The Dreadlord holds to much sway over their newest Warchief. He hardly ever sees them apart besides when it is absolutely necessary. She whispers things into Sylvana’s ear, commanding positions far above her post, ordering the rest of them around like common soldiers. The others chalk it up to his bruised ego when the Warchief placed the Fel Mage in charge of their forces against the Legion rather than Baine himself.
The others don’t see the way Sylvanas has changed.
