This is an alternative backstory of Escher, which is accompanied by my vision of both this character and the campaign. It's also intertwined with the backstory of the character I played. This work is written in the format of a series of memories about the childhood, adolescence, and formation of a boy who was sold by his parents to Ravenloft. About how he managed to survive. About what he learned. About his close acquaintance with a dark-haired fanged person. How he got his ring with roses and what it all led to in the end. There might be SPOILERS for the campaign.
