“Stay,” Jean says suddenly. “Don’t go anywhere.”
“At the party?” Jeremy asks, amused.
Jean rubs his cheek against him again. It’s a silly habit he only ever seems to do when he’s very sleepy or very drunk. Then he stops, still resting against Jeremy’s jacket. When Jean looks up at Jeremy, he remembers just how big and sad Jean’s eyes can get when he really turns them on him.
“Stay with me,” Jean whispers. “Don’t go back to San Diego.”
Jeremy comes home between games with his professional team and takes care of Jean when he drinks at a party. It turns out they both miss each other more than they've been admitting.

Andrew scoffed and raised his eyebrows when he saw Neil was serious. He looked back at the road, "No one's new at this at our age."
And yeah, okay, he was right, but Neil had only just learned the name of what he was. He needed to know more.
"I'm new at understanding it," he amended. "I want better control, so I don't hurt anyone undeserving."
Neil wasn't naive enough to think he could stop completely, but he could try to target his urges to specific people, like what Andrew had done at the minimart. That guy had definitely deserved it. Andrew pulled up outside their destination. He spun in his seat to face Neil, and his eyes roamed over his body.
"Famous last words," he said and climbed out of the car.

I dedicate this work to my dearest girl — the one who inspired me to write it. What began as a small message in our chat eventually grew into the massive draft I now carry on my phone. I hope you enjoy this story, as I personally see it as a possible continuation of canon — a glimpse into the lives of the Foxes after the end of the third book.
While writing, I’ve relied on the released material about Jean and the additional information shared by Nora herself, doing my best to stay within the bounds of canon and keep everything true to the original universe.

The cake itself really wasn’t perfect, but the fact that Neil had done this for him, that he had gone out of his way for Andrew, that he had used the time Andrew was gone to try to bake something just for him, was. It settled somewhere in Andrew’s chest, warm and slow and unfamiliar. No one had ever done this for Andrew before. Very loosely inspired by the blurb or a book, which I didn't buy and I can't remember the name of ... sorry!
Will likely be around 6 chapters. The story starts in September and will have a festive conclusion, because it's already dark and cold and I need me some cosy soft boys to cheer me up. It's a little sweet treat to go with my pumpkin spice.
