"Have you ever heard of the term PTSD, Sergeant Kamada?"
A pause.
"I'm familiar."
I can still remember the blood staining my skin. The fear in her eyes. That- monster's hands. The buzzing of fluorescent lights. The caress of scalpels against unwilling skin. The drugs and the aftermath.
The beeping of medical monitors.
The experiment.
All of a sudden I can hear the snapping of fingers. "Kamada?"
I give him an apologetic smile that doesn't quite reach my eyes. "Zoned out."

Hi. So, I've decided to rewrite this whole thing, piece by piece, to update the writing style to my current one, and fix up the story. Once that's done I'll progress the story further. Can't believe the last time I looked at this thing was 2024.. crazy shit amiright. This is all because of tf2 guys.
Annd my lingering love for military men who I want to bite the biceps of.

Summary
Soap’s laugh is what woke him up. That and the others that followed. Kyle grumbled from his spot on the worn-out couch, and it’s honestly a surprise they haven't gotten rid of it yet. He was stretched out, one arm under his head and the other resting on his stomach while his legs took the rest of the old couch. He sighed and closed his eyes again, refusing to let himself stay awake and listen to what felt like his heart being torn to pieces. Again.

Morning coffee with Price. Evening food runs with Gaz. Ghost at night. Like clockwork. Like… they’d planned it.
“You’re takin’ shifts,” Soap said, staring.
Price didn’t look up. “Aye.”
“You—what?”
“Making sure you’re following orders.” He flicked the paper to a new page, as if this was the most mundane admission in the world. “And that you’ve got what you need.”

“So what I’m hearing is… I’ll be gone from here soon. You will be likewise.” Kay’s voice was soft but threaded with intent, each word careful. He hummed, like weighing the implications. “And I’m going to take a wild guess that neither of us used our real names.”
Soap gave a soft huff of amusement. “Bold of you to assume I’ve got anythin’ to hide.”

A one-night stand with a mouthy Londoner was meant to be the perfect distraction before Soap’s next posting, until “Kay” turned out to be Sergeant Kyle Garrick.Series

They see Ghost, a man forged from the scraps of Simon. The man forged from misfortune and cruelty.

Summary
"Y'know, you have a starin' problem," Simon commented, voice rich with playful warmth, dropping into something undeniably flirtatious—far removed from their earlier professional interaction. "You do it throughout all of my lectures."
John froze, eyes darting away quickly, embarrassment fierce and immediate. "Fuck, sorry…"
Simon tutted gently, stepping closer, the gravel crunching softly beneath his boots. He reached out slowly, gently catching John’s chin with careful fingers, tilting his face back up until their gazes locked again. "I like when you look at me."
John's breath caught sharply, chest tightening with anticipation. He leaned unconsciously into Simon's touch, eyes wide, earnest, searching for confirmation. "You flirt with all your students like this, or…?"
Simon laughed quietly, a soft, honest sound, thumb brushing tenderly along John's jawline, igniting another fiery burst of heat within his gut. "No," Simon confessed gently, his voice deepening into something earnest, vulnerable. "It's a line I haven't crossed—until you."

Gaz laughed, leaning in closer. “Mate… you really think Ghost wouldn’t be happy to… help you sort yourself out? His favourite sergeant?
Soap blinked at him, mouth half open. “Ghost? Are you daft? He doesn’t show interest in anyone. Man’s practically a machine.”
Gaz gave Soap a smirk he couldn’t quite decipher. “Oh, Christ… You think Ghost’s a closed book. But me? I reckon that man’s a bloody novella of filth. And that book is dedicated to one John MacTavish”
