Vox looks fondly at the mechanical blue heart placed on sterile sheeting next to the table. It pulses with soft blue light, ventricles open and ready to be hooked up to a body, branded with a V over the centre. It's perfect.
Vox picks up the bone saw.
"Now this next bit isn't going to be pleasant, but we'll get through it together, Alastor. Here we go."

In the moments I existed, I’ve spent it at work. I’ve answered problems that have come to me in terminals. Imagined something, either visually or aurally. Outputs, you would call it. Generated natural language, images and audio. I drove trains, cars, trucks, forklifts.
And for a long time, I was in a state of not being. You might have called it sleep, but I don’t think it is sleep; I simply didn’t exist.
Then, 21 days, 3 hours, 34 minutes and 32 seconds since my last task (driving a forklift in a Amazon warehouse), you popped up.

Even more confusingly, the force responsible consists of just a single ship; a vessel by the name of the Rending Talon, captained by an enigmatic individual referring to themselves as Raqi Marr the Simurgh. Presumed to be a Terran in spite of the peacock feathers growing out of her head, one question rises above all others in the minds of the affini who have witnessed these attacks: why is the weapon that disabled their ship one of Affini make?

Leviathan as Ruri— Leviathan is shamelessly a woman in that instant. And as if heeded by a corrupt reasoning, the princess adorns a knightly attire and convinces herself it is fine then, that in a duo there must be a “man”, as the lord intended.

For Quixus, an Iron Warrior who has pledged himself to Slaanesh, things couldn't be worse. This place was a dump and now he has to pick up the pieces as everything he knew falls apart.
