Summary
Gaz laughed, leaning in closer. “Mate… you really think Ghost wouldn’t be happy to… help you sort yourself out? His favourite sergeant?
Soap blinked at him, mouth half open. “Ghost? Are you daft? He doesn’t show interest in anyone. Man’s practically a machine.”
Gaz gave Soap a smirk he couldn’t quite decipher. “Oh, Christ… You think Ghost’s a closed book. But me? I reckon that man’s a bloody novella of filth. And that book is dedicated to one John MacTavish”

Summary
You retrieved the shopping bag from your coat and huddled around the dining table, laying out six verdant plants, each tied with a delicate ribbon and wrapped in flimsy packaging.
“This is your leverage?” Kyle plucked one from the table, biting down a smile as he examined it closely. “Mistletoe?”
You leaned against the table's edge, looking up at him pointedly.
“You got any better ideas?”

“Guess not,” Gaz smirks as he shares a look with Roach next to him, Soap could practically see the shared light bulb moment between them.

Summary
There’s a great many things that Soap enjoys about life in the tower: it’s quiet, he has all the time in the world to dedicate to his own pursuits, his friends visit on occasion, and he has all the fresh fruits and meat he could ever possibly want right at his fingertips. Granted he had those back at the castle and on top of that he didn’t have to cook them himself, but he finds that he quite likes cooking, it’s a great deal like alchemy when all is said and done

“I have.. a word of advice,” Gaz says, slowing his walk. Oddly careful. Soap squints in suspicion. “Just a small piece. Tiny. Minuscule. Would do you a favor.”
Or: Soap is pining. Gaz believes himself to be a great wingman.

Summary
"Someone nicked my gloves.”
“Simon,” Price said, placating, but even he had no luck tempering Ghost’s foul mood. “Just go back to your quarters, grab your—”
“No spare,” he cut him off. “All of them. Four bloody pairs, and someone’s gone and nicked ‘em all!”
---
Soap discovers something about himself via staring at Ghost and Gaz notices. In the spirit of a true friend and ultimate wing-man, he does something misguided (but brave) and steals Ghost's gloves, leaving him without them for a at least a little while. Getting the opportunity to stare so much at Ghost's hands is not helping Soap's mental state.
