I’m tired, he says, I just want to sleep.
Zack hasn’t eaten at all today, or yesterday, and Reno almost threatens to take him back to the hospital, where they’d force it into him with tubes. He doesn’t only because he can’t stand the thought of Zack shutting down any further. The Zack he’d known was so full of life and hope and dreams… Nothing had the power bring him down. This Zack… is nothing more than a shell of a human being—a broken body, awaiting death. Reno isn’t so stupid as to think of it as anything else; if he were in Fair’s shoes, he’d want the same. But he can’t bring himself to let it go.

That wasn’t even an option anymore.

Now. There was something. Maybe if he - if he let Jason take out his anger, accept the pain, Jason would come back. Tim would survive, and honestly, if he didn’t, no one would care that much. They might shed a tear or two, but with Jason returned to them, it wouldn’t matter.
Jason was settling over him, straddling him with a knife in hand, a sharp grin on his face. Tim tensed for a moment, before going completely limp, head falling back.
Jason laughed coldly, and his hand ghosted over the ‘R’ on his suit. Tim stopped himself from flinching, watching him evenly as he tried to control his breathing.
“What is it, Pretender? Scared?”
“You win.” Tim’s voice was flat, because he was tired. “I’m not going to fight you, Jason. I can’t fight you. You’re better than me and we both know it. Just -” he closed his eyes. “- just get it over with.”

Jason realized for a second that he’d blanked, and that Robin was still hanging there, not moving. Oh, he was alive, it hadn’t been that long, thin hands wrapped around Jason’s arms in a silent plea.Cupping his cheek with a hand was easy. Robin’s reaction was pathetic, sinking into it like it brought him salvation.
“You really won’t stop me, will ya?” Jason looked at him consideringly, because he had won. The fight was well and truly over, and it was time for some more fun.

Alastor finds himself roped into helping plan the surprise party to celebrate Angel's one year anniversary of being a resident of the hotel. The deer demon is content to participate in his usual mildly chaotic way until he notices the spider acting strangely -- listless, frowning, and carrying boxes up to his room for some reason. When Alastor confronts Angel he learns a startling secret: Angel promised himself that if he failed to find redemption after a full year at Hazbin, he would admit defeat and leave.
Needless to say, Alastor is flummoxed at this unexpected information...and even further frustrated by how the revelation makes him feel. Angel is his foil, his friendly foe, his favorite sinner to bicker and banter with. The idea of the hotel without him is simply unacceptable!
So Alastor embarks on a mission to make Angel stay at the hotel, no matter the wacky costs it might require!
