Story 35: Trench Coat and My Underwear; Mark is working a sting operation during a rare break from building Jigsaw traps;John has left for New York to secure some more money by using bonds.
Mark is posing as a “John” for a rich call girl, who agrees to a “no touching” transaction; Mark is to make sure that the money exchanges hands because it is “tapped” to track a pimp who may be seeking his girls to oversea rings.
Mark shrouds himself in the shadows as his call girl comes into the hotel; the girl does not see Hoffman’s face, but he sees hers, and realizes he knows her.
Story 36: Conjugal: Mark Hoffman is in a state prison, serving time for being the killer of Seth Baxter and an accomplice of John Kramer; he is in his third year of a life sentence (with parole possible).
Mark receives word that his wife wants a private visit from him; Mark agrees, but knows he is not married.
Mark meets his “wife” for his conjugal visit.

The disgraced detective had lost his grip on reality days ago, but even in his deteriorated state, he could swear that there's something familiar about this cadaverous figure.

Her lips pull down into a slight frown, her eyes flicker from her own coffee cup to his and they linger for a while as if she’s trying to find the words to reiterate her question in the form of a plea.
“I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t think you could help me,” She says before taking a sip. “But I know you’ll be the only one who can. You’ve done it before.”

What if Strahm survived the glass coffin room? What if Perez survived Hoffman's rampage? What if Hoffman was actually found and sent to Federal Prison instead of rotting in a bathroom? What if the pair find themselves back into another twisted game and the only one who can help them is a used to be accomplice? -

Mark had never planned for Strahm to survive if he didn't get into the glass coffin. It'd never even crossed his mind that he could, so when the hydraulic systems fail... well, he doesn't really know what the fuck to do about that.
Now he has a very injured, very pissed off FBI agent on his hands that he may or may not have framed for murder. But maybe Mark can still try to make Strahm understand just what it is he'd been trying to tell him in the first place.
(or, mark and peter go on a road trip to get peter's arm taken care of, and learn things about each other along the way.)

He finds himself getting nudged back as soon as he straightens up. He relents. With a gun trained on him, he’s without any choice but to be ushered in the direction of the coffin.
