Summary
Odysseus stood in front of him, bow steady in his blood-soaked fingers, arrow notched and aimed between Telemachus’ eyes. Telemachus had spent years studying the man before him, comparing the two of them. He’d lost count of the number of times people in the palace had told him that he looked just like his father had at his age.
Now he wondered if he would grow into Odysseus’ rage, if his own eyes would harden the way his father’s had, if he’d grow to enjoy the taste of blood if he only lived another twenty-five years.
