Moony and Padfoot text every day. Whether it’s about their mutual love of Bowie and 70s rock, or simply what kind of coffee they had that morning, they don’t go a day without talking.
Sirius and Remus hate each other. Remus runs his late mother’s family owned bookshop, and Sirius is the owner and operator of a new branch of Potter Books, a chain that threatens to run Remus out of business.
But, Remus and Moony are one and the same. And Padfoot is actually Sirius. What’s the worst that could happen?

It, most times, didn't mean any harm to people.
Sure, it felt bad seeing children have nightmares from time to time, but its faith simply overshadowed the sympathy; The Prototype had caused it to have this anatomy, so this must be the will of God.
Most of the little sadness it felt when it was deemed to stay in its holding room inside the playhouse due to 'not getting along with the others' was also overshadowed by the will of The Prototype. But sure, it did feel a little off seeing most of the Smiling Critters (with the exception of Bobby Bearhug, probably in the labs) interacting with the orphans, being bipedal.
It did hurt being let out only after a few months, unlike the others, like now!

This is a flaming dumpster filled with CSS and HTML experiments. It's not instructional, but I post the code and my own explanations for both our sakes. Feel free to steal the code or ask me questions- I don't know what I'm doing. :)
(Pics are mine though)
Chapter 5 is probably what you're looking for ;)
I'm not going to say I take requests, but I'm always looking for inspiration.
It seems I've broken Ao3 yet again. I can no longer add more code to my work skin so we're moving on to part two!

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

How to Block Tags With Site Skins (And Get Real Specific About It) by najio
Fandoms: No Fandom
16 Mar 2024
Tags
Summary
Just some info I've gathered over the past couple of weeks, about how to:
1. Block tags using Site Skins, block only fics that contain both tag A and tag B, and block fics with a tag that contains a certain phrase, unless they are a specific whitelisted tag
2. Highlight the tags in pretty colors! Or bold, or hide them!
3. Block mega-crossovers with a million different fandoms
4. Select for/block fics that are completed/rated something/have a certain category/don't have summaries
5. Block everything that doesn't have a certain tag, or one of a list of tags
6. Block orphan_account and tag block by author
7. Block only tags of specific types (fandoms, relationships, freeforms, etc.)
8. Block fics focused on original characters, and/or fics without any tags of a specific type
9. Block every pairing with two characters in it—case insensitive, any order, no matter how many other people are also in the tag
10. Block by number of tagsSeries

As of April 2016, The database that stores works on A03 does not allow emoji. If you try to add an emoji it will end your story there. Any words after the emoji? Poof. Gone. This is a known, if poorly advertised, issue with the archive.
There are some workarounds; you can find them in: How to Make iOS Text messages on A03. But here? Here is for ALL THE EMOJI*.
10 chapters of emoji tables, each with the HTML for putting the emoji into your work and the CSS for putting it into your workskin. Copy-Paste baby. Copy-Paste.
*Does not contain the 2016 Unicode release. You'll have to come up with the code for pickle yourselves.
(Note, because this is 10 chapters of emoji tables, here is a link to the Index Tables (chapter 1) to speed up load times and reduce confusion if you have preferences set to "entire work.")
