One moment Lance was there, jumping and reaching for Keith’s outstretched hand as the cavern collapsed around them. And in the next he was gone, falling into the abyss. Just like that.
And no matter how much Keith, Hunk and Shiro desperately search through the rubble as they descend into the unstable cave, they can’t find him. And as minutes tick to hours and they go further and further down reality tells them it’s not a search and rescue mission any longer.

Final Fic:(80) Follow You Home: Voltron is heading home. Except, for Keith, the destination of Earth isn’t his home. There’s no one waiting for him there. And, he tries to tell himself, that it’s not like the space family he'd made up here with Voltron would abandon him as they go seek out their own loved ones on Earth. But he’s so used to being left behind so why should this time be any different? Fortunately, Pidge is right there to remind Keith just how much he belongs with all of them.

(11) Crimson Promises: There's blood everywhere except where it should be, which is inside Lance. All Hunk can do is hold him as he shivers, respond to his confused, pained breathless words and pray that help arrives soon.
(26) Cave-In: Shiro and Lance are trapped in a cave-in. It’s really nothing bad, no one was hurt and help is already on the way, even if they’ll be in this dark, cramped space for a few hours more. Something though is wrong with Lance. And Shiro thinks he knows what might be the cause. -

However, Keith and Hunk found solace in each other on those nights when neither one could sleep. Shiro's returned, but trauma bonds are hard to break. / A.k.a. Every human looked at the planet in shock. The planet they were going to looked exactly like earth.

“Hunk that WAS Keith!” Lance wirled his head to his direction. None of the paladins looked convinced with Keith ignoring them looking through a crack in the door. He could hear the paladin's muffled chatter arguing over Lance's imagination. Keith squinted to see in the distance to recognize a figure.

A simple reconnaissance mission to an underground Galra base goes wrong - really wrong - when an unexpected earthquake leaves Hunk and Shiro trapped under rubble in a cave. With Shiro maybe-fatally injured, Hunk is forced to grapple with his helplessness and fear to be strong for Shiro’s sake as they wait for a rescue that might not come soon enough.
