When Pidge was a baby, the Galra attacked. Earth fought them off, barely, and spent every minute since preparing for their return.
To Pidge, this was normal. Her father spent his days toiling away on Garrison bases, working on tech that would protect the planet from alien invasion. No big deal. But then he and her brother go all the way to Kerberos, only to be lost, and the Garrison is hiding something, and somehow this leads to Pidge fighting the Galra empire with the other guy from that doomed mission, her two fellow cadets, some weird boy from the desert, an alien princess, and a moustached man - Oh, and the space lions. Why not?

Timeline: Final Episode
When the Voltron Lions leave the Paladins at the end, Keith is being chosen as the new Galra King. He absolutely does NOT want to be king, since he’s just a li’l half-Galra kitty.
The Lions were specially attached to Keith, since he was the pilot for both the Red Lion (the second-in-command) and the Black Lion (the leader), and felt his mental distress from being forced into leadership.
Cue the Lions’ sentience activating again and deciding to be sneaky andkidnaprescue Keith from the role of King.
Then Krolia and the ex-paladins of Voltron (- Keith) find out he’s gone missing. And Kosmo the Wolf.

Voltron, a legendary defender of the vast universe, has all but become a child’s tale. Many have claimed to have seen this being, all to be false. The lions, black, red, green, blue and yellow have been spotted many times. Yet not once in the eons they have roamed space that a team truly formed Voltron. Little by little, the lions themselves became more of machines than the sentient beings they are. Hundreds piloted these marvelous lions, some with good intentions others for ire. Only one team truly had come together, formed Voltron and defended the universe from all that would destroy it. But that was over 300 years ago, to this day not one had spotted the lions or the giant defender, until an unlikely pair of friends and allies in a common war when the legend finally returns.

As long as Lance can remember he has always been able to see things others can't just like his great-grandmother. She explained to Lance that he was special not just because he came from a line of witches oh no he could see a person's soul dead or alive, and that it was his responsibility to help those who need it while maintaining the balance between the living and dead. Too bad the kids at school thought he was a freak.
Lance was always proud of his gift, but after a terrible incident when he was younger all he's been trying to do is run from them. Lance ran to the Garrison, hoping that being alone in space would make it stop. How wrong he was, Lance wasn't prepared for a 10,000-year-old war and the chaos that it brought to the living and the dead. All Lance wanted was silence, but now not only is he a Paladin of Voltron but now he has to figure out a way to maintain the balance of the universe before the planes between the living and the dead become no existent.

Lance McClain didn't exist. At least not truly, he was just a mask. A character Lance created for solo missions from the Blade of Marmora.
He hadn't expected to run into one of his past teachers on said mission, nor get trapped in a tiny, single person pod hurtling through space headed for a strange planet untouched by the Galran interlopers with another species. He especially didn't expect to be taken as another 'human' prisoner by the bulky man in the pod with him. But Lance was a planner, since birth - strategizing had been instilled in him by his older sister and uncle, then it was honed by the Blade of Marmora - so he rolled with it.
He didn't know what would happen after they crashed, but it was certainly not being manhandled to the ground and then strapped to a table. He really didn't expect a pale boy with purple eyes and a strange haircut to bust in.

“Takashi.” He began nervously and then saw the strength of his fiancé’s gaze he couldn’t help but snap “Takashi you can’t be serious!?” he hissed trying to meet his gaze trying to scan for some kind of lie in his words, but he found none, he pulled back slightly staring around the room trying to ground himself trying to stop himself from saying something fucking stupid.
“I’m serious Adam. I’m going.”
