Isha raised her eyebrow at that. That's weird, in the short time that she has known Jinx, the woman had made herself a clear Expert Markswoman.
"Really? I didn't think that you sucked at shooting."
"Well... It was around the start of the outbreak, I hadn't really used a gun that much."
Isha let's out a little "Ah" Sound. She was ready to drop the topic when Jinx spoke up again.
"I did swear to myself though... That if it happened again, I wouldn't miss."
The world has fallen under the cordyceps brain infection. A broken survivor called Jinx is tasked with safely moving cargo across the United States. That cargo just so happens to be a little girl called Isha.

The moon sits high in the sky, but the guest knocking incessantly on Ekko’s door doesn’t seem to care what time it is. It isn’t unusual for Jinx to visit him at odd hours.
“Can I stay here tonight?” Her meek voice cuts through the air, pulling Ekko out of his trance, yet his voice is still lost to the confines of sleep. Her pleading eyes look up at him, and her lips quiver as more tears form. Jinx’s botched attempt at a chuckle doesn’t alleviate the tension.

Summary
Despite maintaining a 3.9 GPA, taking eighteen credits a semester towards a dual honors degree in mechanical engineering and physics with a minor in math and a teaching certificate plus a science internship under Professor Heimerdinger on top of managing a political group of over seven hundred people and being president of several other clubs, Ekko is the one and only Spider-Man, protecting Zaun from supervillains and petty pickpockets alike. However, his lifestyle's apparently left him so tired that he... can't remember this fight?
Powder's out of it today, which sucks, because as one of Zaun's two Spider-Men, she doesn't get the luxury of a day off. (Ignore that the problem came from being Spider-Man and getting into several fights.) She has to keep moving, so she does so - at least until Ekko walks in on her in the bathroom after she's been shot, hit by a bus, and beat to shit.
So, you know, a normal Wednesday.
Except that she doesn't know Ekko is Spider-Man and Ekko doesn't even know there's another one.

She swears she can see yes forming on Vi’s lips, wishes more than anything that it’s on the tip of her tongue, and her need for that to be true feels all-consuming. Jinx keeps going, figures she’s going to make sure this burned bridge can never be repaired.
“There’s no right or wrong, just ways to go about being able to look at yourself in the mirror without hating who looks back. Would you hate yourself if you did this? Or do you hate yourself for having to push this part of yourself down?”
Vi stiffens, like a feral animal that’s deciding between fight or flight, tries to shut down, straining as she tries to keep her emotions at bay.
“I grew up, Vi. I’m not a child anymore. I make the decisions I want to make, and I don’t need to be protected from them. I’m back. I can be back. For good. For you. Tell me you don’t think about this, too.”
Jinx is back after a year and a half away post war, and she wants to make amends for the damage she's done. Intentions and healing and the chance to truly resolve missteps all shift; rerouting to what was carved out and set in stone, all this time.
