In other words, a fantastic day for one Jake Lockley. If he didn’t share a body with them, he’d have strangled Marc and Steven both for their stupidity of getting in this situation, seeing as if Jake was in charge, this definitely wouldn’t have happened. Well, maybe it would have, but Jake was reasonably confident he wouldn’t have woken up in a fucking coffin if that were the case. And not waking in a coffin goes a long way.

As punishment for Khonshu's violent acts, he is imprisoned and his avatar is stripped of power. Fearing the avatar's retribution and potential attempt to bring back the exiled God, the other Gods come to the decision to strip the avatar of its memories, its very identity, and leave it to live a new life somewhere far away where their paths would never cross again.
Some part of the plan goes awry. Some part of the spell doesn't work out.
It would've gone unnoticed if one day, one confused gift store worker hadn't looked in the mirror and seen a man with his face and his name but with nothing else in common looking back at him.
(Or- the one where I put both versions of Steven Grant together and made an absolute abomination of a storyline out of it.)

So Marc was out for work and was late to go home. Steven was preparing a dinner, and waiting for Marc to go home. But something bad happened to Marc, that a weird faceless man came in front of him and he was sucked by a black hole. Meanwhile, Steven was surprised by a loud crash on the living room and found someone laying on the floor. That turned out, the man was his only way to get Marc back. So Steven made a journey with him through the day.-
