We have seen Five run out of power in the worst of times, so what if he actually ended up exhausted after time-traveling his family to the 60s and the Handler found him without anyone knowing?
Cause damn, just imagine how difficult it is to drag your whole family through time and he had already pushed himself ragged trying to stop the apocalypse and save them, and then, everyone just acts like he's done the worst thing ever, so I wanted them to recognize that, but then my ficlet ended up turning into a bigger idea with a plot of some sorts and all, so let's see how it goes!
Not an entire rewrite of season 2 because I'm just not capable of handling so many characters and writing a whole season, but you'll see all the siblings, Lila and the Handler here and there.

Everyone knows the story.
The first meta ability was manifested by a newborn baby in China. The baby radiated light. Literally.
After the first phenomenon people all over the world developed these special abilities and the age of Superheroes was born. With the rise of super powered humans came the rise of supervillains, using their new powers in an attempt to take over the world. Each attempt failed, thwarted by the ‘heroes’.
Years after the development of the first quirk, an eccentric billionaire- known to the public as ‘The Monocle’ made it his mission to find the most powerful babies to adopt and raise and train as his own.

Summary
Discovery is a slow process. The unknown is a risky voyage in front of her. Home is a familiar background behind her. That's how it has always been for as long as Vanya has known- except now, she's drowning. It's hard to understand why, especially when you're as closed off and timid and Vanya is. Especially when all you've ever known was in a house full of emotionally stunted siblings and a harsh, distant father.

The 5 stages of which Vanya finally begins to learn something new. Things change and life goes on. People disappear and the world moves on, no matter how much you want to go back to the way things were before.

Summary
Ben hardly remembers a time when his life wasn't taking care of Klaus.
Emotions are such intense things. Ben isn't sure if it is because he is a child again or if it is because he's alive, but he is not used to them either way. The apocalypse may be long off, but there are problems enough to deal with right now. On top of readjusting to life not solely revolving around Klaus and Vanya having no memory of the future, the mission that Ben is quite certain killed him last time has been moved up for reasons unknown, and it is up to the seven of them to make sure that this time, none of them die. However, time doesn't like being changed, and this is going to be more difficult than they thought. -
