Summary
The kingdom Princess Minerva was born into was one of harsh winds, endless skies and warm smiles.
It taught her to be proud. It taught her to be unyielding.
And, before it forgot how, it taught her what it meant to love. And how to fight for it.

This is part of a fanfiction trilogy that will follow Minerva's story, beginning before the events of Shadow Dragon.
There's no need to have played Shadow Dragon in order to understand this, or Fire Emblem as a whole, really. It may be a novelization but it's structured as a fantasy novel, with all that entails.
The characters mentioned in the tags are the ones that get most of the spotlight. Many of them have important roles, but the main cast consists of Minerva, Maria, Palla, Catria and Est.
("Graphic descriptions of violence", more like canon-typical violence. I do not write gore, but there is violence and it is described as such. I'm keeping the archive warning anyway)

Summary
Minerva Wyver has finally arrived at the Macedon Cup, the endgame to a competition that spans an entire competitive season - the Macedonan Masters. And she's determined to win it all.
Although, so is her rival, Palla Graywing.
It won't be easy, especially since the very ground Minerva has always stood firm on starts to shift, in a direction she'd never expected.
