Sans has been working with Alphys to make a machine that reduces LV, or at least reduces its effects.

Sans is no dummy. He knows Red will always have LV. There's no cure for it, but there are ways to manage it. He's certain that they can learn to live and happily ever after, and he's not willing to let Red go, not yet, and definitely not like this.
