Summary
Max Mayfield, is struggling to overcome the trauma of her past. Tommy Slater slaughtered twelve kids, including her sister Cindy. Max is left scarred—physically and emotionally. She feels abandoned by her family, especially after the suicide of her father, who left behind a note that made it clear she never mattered to him. Now, living with her alcoholic, distant mother, Susan, Max feels more alone than ever, even if her friends still try to help her despite her pushing them away. Max wrestles with the painful memories of her past, the curse of Shadyside that has haunted her, and the overwhelming sense that no matter how hard she tries to escape, the darkness always finds her. She feels trapped by her past, unable to outrun the shadow that looms over her life.

The wolf stays where he’s at and for a moment Eddie feels extremely stupid for trying to communicate with an animal but then the wolf stands up- and woah he’s way bigger up close.
Eddie watches as the wolf steps closer and giggles at the wet cold feeling of his snout sniffing at his hand. He brings it up to pet through the wolf’s unbelievably soft fur and marvels at the glisten of the golden-like color even in the moonlight. “You do too, huh?” Eddie giggles, scratching behind the wolf’s ear as he sniffs at Eddie’s face. “I think I’m gonna’ call you Ozzy.”
Ozzy huffs and Eddie laughs.
“Yeah. Ozzy suits you perfectly.”

He didn’t hear anything weird. He’s just overtired. It’s past late and nearing early morning now. The clock above the soundboard reads 3:47 am. He would have been asleep hours ago on a night when he didn’t have a late shift.

Listen, while her life wasn’t exactly perfect, she was doing better than half of the population of Hawkins High, which had to count for something.
Her seemingly perfect life is quickly shattered when on the night of October 31, 1984, she drunkenly overhears Nancy Wheeler confessing to Steve Harrington that they had killed Barbara Holland. The same Barbara Holland that had gone missing the year prior, leaving a very select few individuals devastated.
So, she does what any other sane individual would do. No, not report what she’d heard to the police. Instead, armed with mace and a dream, she ambushes Steve Harrington on the front lawn of the Wheeler’s residence, insistent on getting to the bottom of whatever the fuck was happening in Hawkins, Indiana.
