She had survived the desert otherworld, Strex, and a community radio internship, why was dealing with the stupid new sheriff somehow still managing to give her a headache right now.
She paused in her thoughts. Maybe stupid was too harsh, particularly for someone she hadn't met. Annoying, frustrating, maybe those were better words. The annoying new sheriff. Her train of thought was interrupted as the subject of it opened her office door, sauntered over to the chair in front of her desk, and flopped down into it.
Or: Mayor Dana Cardinal and Sheriff Sam learn to get along. Sort of.

And even on nights like this, where Wilbur is stretching out his limbs from being cramped in the chair, careful not to stretch his leg too much or brush it against anything, Quackity watches him as he sips his coffee and thinks those three little words he has yet to say.
