Curled in his bunk on the Albatross, Chip reflected on the last two times he’d met with Reuben. This next time, he wasn’t sure of a victorious outcome. They’d come after Roofus, come after his crewmates. Another confrontation was coming, even if all the wishing in the world could delay it. He exhaled shakily as the ship creaked softly around him.
Fuck it, Chip would make another deal with Niklaus if it meant Reuben Price would vanish off of the face of the earth.
He only half regretted not vocalizing that wish.

Summary
Three pirates, friends, captains, occasional rivals. There have been many times they have been cursed (in some cases literally) to a night filled with despair instead of dreams. But fortunately or unfortunately, depending on who you ask, they’d all happily comfort (or annoy) the others as required.
Or, I write many scenes of the Riptide Gang comforting each other, specifically at night. Goodness goddesses why do almost all the main characters have canonically crappy times after hours. Why are there so many night terrors DM Grizzly please let them sleep :(
This is in no particular order besides the order of what I felt like writing, so we may be jumping around the timeline a bit. Sorry about that.

Summary
Hanahaki is a disease primarily found in tritions and aquatic creatures, where flowers, often similar to water hyacinths, fester and bloom in the lungs. They feed off of emotions bottle tightly inside the person, finding some euphoria in the pain of the affected. The disease is known to be deadly. It feeds on the emotions and oxygen of its host until it spreads further — past the lungs and ribcage and to the rest of the body. After that, their fate is practically determined. Gillion has seen the corpses in his books, and they aren’t a pleasant sight.
There’s one known cure: letting the emotions out and opening up to the person you’re most afraid to confront. They’ve tried removing the flowers through surgery, but it’s never ended well.
Gillion already knows the disease is going to kill him.
