She had been given the title of "messy eater" when it came to her desperation and hunger and always seemingly made a mess of things. Usually, Hermione found that she could clean things up herself after satiating her hunger but it seemed as though that wasn't happening this time. Draco Malfoy, an older vampire who was more expressed with quelling his hunger, was nearby when Hermione needed help with cleaning herself and the crime scene up. He was used to this, his father being the one who originally turned Hermione and introduced her to him. Draco acted as a shadow for Hermione to follow, supposed to protect and show her the ways of the vampires.

However, everything changed once they had graduated and went their separate ways after the Wizarding War; after Hermione had saved Lavender's life from becoming another victim to Fenrir Greyback. Lavender had been incredibly heavily scarred, affecting her vanity and would experience some changes every full moon but she was still alive and kicking. The two Gryffindors reunited a few months later, realising the feelings they had hidden for each other, kicking off their romantic relationship with each other and starting the rumour mill that loathed the idea of their swotty Golden Girl not falling for one of the other members of the Golden Trio, and instead falling for another woman.

He was being forced to kill Albus Dumbledore. However, while having what he guessed was a panic attack, he had been attacked by his sworn enemy, Harry Potter, using a spell that he had never even heard of before. Draco resented the Sectumsempra scars. He wanted revenge. But, not on Potter himself. No, he knew that attacking Potter would never work well. It has been twenty-five years since the end of the Second Wizarding War and it seemed as though everyone had moved on with their lives. Many of the students who had fought in the war had moved to the countryside or even across the sea to somewhere they could be aware of the trauma they had experienced. Draco Malfoy was haunting Malfoy Manor, the cries of his five-month-old son echoing throughout the corridors as the two boys mourned the loss of their late mother and wife, Astoria Greengrass, who had died five months ago in childbirth. He avoided everyone until Pansy forced him out of the house and made him attend baby classes that were happening in the local library with other parents and their children. This was where he was reconnected with Hermione Granger, learning that she too had a five-month-old and was also mourning the loss of their partner.

Hermione Granger-Malfoy tragically passed away on the 2nd May 2013 at the hands of the copycat Death Eaters, when they performed a heightened terrorist attack on the 15th-anniversary celebration being held at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to mourn the losses that occurred throughout and during the Second Wizarding War which ended on the 2nd May 1998 and also celebrate how much had changed since then, but seemingly some people didn't appreciate the changes that had been happening since the end of the War. She was one of the few confirmed deaths but it had been reported that many had left the celebration injured and carried straight away to St Mungo's Hospital. The loss of the Golden Girl wrecked its way through the Wizarding World. Left behind was Hermione's grieving husband, Draco Granger-Malfoy, who had been working as the Potions Professor at Hogwarts until the death and their two twin children, Scorpius and Lyra Granger-Malfoy, who were six years old at the time of their mother's death.
