Pagan Min had kept Bhadra and a myriad of other children orphans; but there was something that Bhadra knew that the other kids didn’t. Always giving out stuffed toys to other kids, always helping out other people. Amita couldn’t help but take pity and decided to stay by her side more. Talked to her more, made sure she was safe the same way Bhadra had looked out for everybody around her.
The consequences of war were that there were children who had to know what kind of life they were going to be born into.
Amita thought she had it the same, but by the age of 14 she was raising a two year old while her husband was off to war.

It takes almost forever but the heat engulfs the place along with its flames, somehow still not managing to touch you but very nearly trying to cook you with it, but the window busts open and a man in a teal jacket comes and oh, is it the new hero?
It was supposed to be; but he hadn’t moved a muscle since coming inside. Instead you watch, immobile and vision blurred, as he starts to catch fire, and you would scream if you didn’t find that the ground below you was tearing itself apart.
So when the floor rips apart, and you do scream, you realize that this happened before, except a little more wrong than you could imagine. The wind of the fall puts pressure on your body, the open breeze and lack of leverage to help you is nowhere to be seen, and the only thing you can really do is scream and flail. You meet eyes with the floor, but it’s almost as if it’s going further down, the tantalizing thing. The floor is water, dark red water, only Kyra knows where the hell the red could have possibly come from and you just hope that it doesn’t matter because you’re landing in it— and now, water engulfs you.
