Summary

“I’m right here, Eddie,” Buck says soothingly.
“But you weren’t,” Eddie says quietly. “For three minutes, you- you didn’t exist in this world anymore.”
Eddie can feel, more than hear, Buck’s sharp intake of breath.
“I thought I’d lost you forever,” Eddie confesses in a whisper. He slowly pulls back from Buck’s embrace but remains close, looking him right in the eyes. He pauses for a moment, unsure if he should continue or not. “I’ve never been so afraid in my life.”
