Summary
Shortly after moving to Splatsville, Eight and Three are finally relaxing and enjoying their time as a couple. Neo Three has defeated Mr. Grizz and things seem calm. Of course, reality would say otherwise. Their peace is interrupted by the Anarchy Splatcast reporting on a mysterious green octoling that was found near Mahi-Mahi Resort; the footage shows it acting in a violent and unusual way. Cephalopods are advised to stay away from the hotel that has had to stop its activities. As a blurry picture and video from the incident are released, both agents realize that it cannot be anything but a sanitized octoling. Despite both hating the idea, they decide that it is time to return to the Deepsea Metro, the source of many of their traumas and night terrors. Since the Squid Sisters are busy with Alterna clean up, Cuttlefish’s recovery, and their singing career, the pair must resort to the only two others with expertise on the Metro, Off the Hook.

Agent Eight fell ill at work and had to go home early. As soon as Four hears of this, she knows exactly what to do: She's gonna rush straight home and make sure her roommate is taken care of, no matter what.
Maybe she should have been a little more careful, though. Now Four's not feeling so hot either, and Agent Three's suddenly committed to making her question everything she knows about her relationship with Marie. And just in time to make everything extra complicated, she's convinced (or maybe strong-armed) into staying over with Marie so she can keep an eye on her, rather than remaining at the apartment to take care of Eight.
Still, that does mean someone will need to stay there for Eight in her stead - and fortunately, Captain Three seems to be up for the task. Hopefully trying to set those two up together will be enough to keep Four's mind off of her own predicament...

Now that Mr. Grizz and all the Fuzzy Ooze business had been taken care of, the former underground paradise for a long-extinct species was their oyster.. is that an appropriate metaphor for sea creatures? It'd be really cool if you (yes, you!) joined the NSS in their adventures.
Captain and their theories. Neo 3 and their... whatever they are. Callie and Marie and their occasional bickering. Cuttlefish is also there, I think. He's not that important. Agent 8 is mentioned like 1 time. They're there in spirit. Deep Cut is there too.-

Summary
Despite being “retired”, Cuttlefish still joins the other agents in investigating the Splatlands, even going so far as to recruit a new agent without consulting his replacement. When things inevitably go south and this new agent must work with their actual superior and fellow agents to save Cuttlefish, they end up facing off against Deep Cut, Bandits/Undercover Idols. Only… the new Agent 3 is a friend of the Deep Cut members, secretly helping them with their heist. What will come of this strange situation?

Agent Four is the last member of the New Squidbeak Splatoon to move to Splatsville. But the night after she arrives, an unfortunate discovery is made - she's left her Sunken Scrolls behind, and now the Captain is asking to see one of them. It seems a quick trip back to Inkopolis with the Captain is in order. And while they're there, there's plenty to do. What's the harm in getting a bit sidetracked?
What was meant to be a quick trip has gone wrong. Agent Four and Captain Three are stranded somewhere very cold, very dark, and very far from help.

Three shot up, wide awake, in the middle of the night. She looked around in a cold sweat, checking for anyone who could be nearby, but stopped once her eyes laid upon the octoling sleeping next to her. Three sighed and laid back down, snuggling up against the octarian.
She woke up from a nightmare she had about when she was previously an agent of the Splatoon, rather than the captain. About how she once fought the octoling that now laid next to her, peacefully. It was a time where nobody knew that an octoling could change. A time of, dare say it, racism and segregation.
The Octarians weren't bad, Cuttlefish was just racist because of the war
