Life was easier when you blurred the edges of your vision, when you didn’t look into the sun. In Achilles’ shimmering eyes, Patroclus could only see his own shattered edges, reflected right back to him.
But as it turned out, Blondie made for an excellent penpal. His humour matched Patroclus’; he really wore his heart on his sleeve, and his passionate personality showed even through text- very endearing; and most of all, he was just as hell-bent as Patroclus on procrastination.
Or: Patroclus meets Achilles in university. Neither gets any work done anymore.

Summary
Briseis is Patroclus' girlfriend. They began dating Junior year of highschool. Achilles has never been kind to her, unlike Peleus who has approved of the relationship and expects them to wed. Achilles heavily disapproves of Briseis, but barely in the open, maybe in the comfort of his house or apartment. Briseis has figured out why Achilles doesn't like her, she doesn't plan on leaving Patroclus, it's like a petty game they've been playing for 4 years. Only rule is: if Patroclus leaves either one, they end the game peacefully and move on. Probably with a broken heart, they wouldn't blame one another. "It is what it is."

Summary
Patroclus is at the same time a kid that isn’t a kid at all, and a man that is yet to be a man.
A.K.A. a teenager.
Now in a new town, he’s forced to go through the horrifying and often traumatic human experience of: Growing up and discovering who you are as a person, when he meets an annoying, yet charming boy named Paris; and finds his childhood best friend now turned resident bully, Achilles.
Sadly for Patroclus, his life can’t be a YA romance novel with a tragic ending, nor an old epic poem narrating the horrors and glory of war (at least not this time).
This time, Patroclus’ battle is: Discovering his sexuality, meeting new friends, meeting new not quite friends, dealing with embarrassment, dealing with philosophical questions about ethics that won’t get clear cut answer, dealing with having a difficult name to pronounce for anyone who doesn’t speak Greek.
He’ll try to confront all of this and more without dying in the process (at least not this time). -
