Summary
The fire crackled low. Rain whispered at the glass. Somewhere between the flicker of the oil lamp and the quiet ache in both their bones, Dismas turned slightly—just enough to face Reynauld.
And for a second—just a second—they both leaned in.
The world didn’t shift. The sky didn’t crack open. But something small and wordless passed between them, sharp as a heartbeat. Closer than they’d been in years. Close enough to kiss, if either of them had been braver.
But they weren’t. Not yet.
Dismas blinked, exhaled through his nose, and leaned back with a faint scoff.
“Hell of a thing,” he muttered, pretending to stare at the ceiling.
Reynauld didn’t ask what he meant. He just nodded, slow and knowing.
“Yeah,” he said. “It is.”

Summary
Audrey walks ahead of her, holding their second torch high. She steps lightly and quietly, always graceful and poised despite her sailor's tongue. Her dagger is slick with the blood of a brigand who'd surprised them early on, earning a slit throat for his misstep. She hasn't wielded her pickaxe yet, preferring a faster weapon in tight quarters. Her face is drawn in a tense smirk.

Summary
Expeditions and dire circumstances aside, Alhazred was nobody's first pick when it came to curing their wounds. Why would he be, when there were plenty of other, more reliable and less bloody avenues? Nobody would willingly go to the Occultist.
Nobody but Tardif.

"Alhazred didn’t stay there either, though for him it was less because of general misanthropy and more to make sure the Entity was at a safe distance from the others while he was asleep."
Love this interpretation of his distance. What is that Arcane quote? "Loneliness is often the byproduct of a gifted mind"?
Also LOVE the interpretation of Wyrd Reconstruction as blood, and Tardif's subsequent "I understand flesh and blood." He truly does strike me as a man who would be suspicious of religion in a way he wouldn't be of Alhazred's scholarly occultism.

Summary
Dismas is admittedly the worst gift-giver in the Hamlet, so when he gets signed up for a gift-exchange against his will, he's rightfully panicked when he's assigned their local scholar, occultist, and all around gentleman, Alhazred.
Luckily, the women of the Hamlet seem to know exactly how to help.

Summary
Reynauld is proud to have served in the crusades and is proud to wear his armor everywhere he goes. To him, the crusades were an ultimate test of faith. To others, such as Al-Hazred, the crusades were a bloody mark on history. After being met with disdain from his teammates, Reynauld faces a difficult internal battle about his faith as a weapon.
This fic is a work-in-progress concept for a fan-comic I have sketched out, which can be read by following a link in the notes.

Summary
The footsteps were soft and polite, signifying someone civilised was approaching.
That was a surprise. Maybe a new student, coming upstairs just to explore the building.
Alhazred stood up. Time to close the door and pretend he wasn’t there.
When he reached the door and had a hand over the old brass handle, the person was already in view. He was freakishly tall and rather massive, yet his footsteps were undeniably softer than most and his posture too correct.
Strange, but it was none of Alhazred's concern. People could do as they pleased. He had no interest.
Before he could close the door, the person spotted him.
“Alhazred.” The person said. “-Professor. Is it?”

The Occultist, Crusader, and one of the Flagellants mentioned in the tags are not the named versions, they are newer recruits.
