At his metal chair by the many screens of that main room, Slade turned clockwise towards the boy.
“ Why, all of this at once, master?”
“ Because of your fortuitous progress, my apprentice.” The mam smiled with his one eye. “ I could have not ever imagined a scene this soon with you fending off a bullet for me. On even how you stayed absolutely silent for your master as expected, even to turn your brother’s head and…expectations, a little. It was truly a gift, so? I’ve given you something in turn that you might want.”
“ What I want, is for you to let the Titans go free.”
Slade rose, cracking his neck as he edged across the floor with hardened steps. “ You aren’t that advanced as my weapon, yet. Not for that to happen.”
“ I stepped in front of a gun for you, Master.” Dick grumbled out the words quickly. “ I stayed like a statue, like your…soldier and let you do what you wanted –
“It’s what you are not allowed to protest, anyway. Why should it be a privilege at all to save a life?”
“ BECAUSE….What we are doing, is wrong!”

His voice was warm and deep and something about it made her instantly unwind. God, the cold was making her stupid. Donna caught a glimpse of a carseat in the backseat and made a judgment call. A serial killer probably wouldn’t have a carseat.
“I’d appreciate it,” her voice sounded small and meak to her own ears but luckily he heard her because he continued towards her, breaking into an endearing little jog, opening the hood with an effortlessness that made her frostbitten fingers a little bitter.
“I’m Roy,” he said, holding out his hand. -

His eyes land on Roy, standing warily apart from the crowd, and his blood goes cold.

Jason frowned. “Then why are you running?”

26 years on and he still hasn't managed it.
The latest edition, Dick Grayson, is proving particularly irksome and when he refuses to complete his first mission as Renegade, Slade makes sure to react accordingly.
He's not the first Renegade to defy him, but Slade intends to ensure he is the last.
OR
Instead of being taken in by Bruce, the Robins come to meet with a much darker fate. Driven by ego, Deathstroke abducts them one by one, and tries to mold them to his vision.
He just never realized how stubborn good people can be.

Ollie runs and jumps from one building to the next, watching down on the street level, peering around floating buildings and cars until he can see a lone figure in a tattered green cape with something white moving on his shoulder in the center of a courtyard.
“Who is that?” Ollie yells.
“Pied Piper.” Roy yells back, close on his heels. His fingers twitch and he adds, in a less kind tone. “Flash’s ex boyfriend.”
Ollie frowns a bit but doesn’t question it. He’s more curious about how he hasn’t heard of this guy. -

Wally knew that Roy needed to open up about his issues with Green Arrow, but couldn’t the Teen Titans just sit him down for a nice meal and talk about it? You know, like normal people would? No of course, Dick had to make everything complicated, opting for a high-stakes mission to pry things out of Roy.
What Wally didn’t get was his own involvement in this. He didn’t mind helping his friends out, but his presence here wasn’t necessary. The whole point of this mission was to address a fragile parent-child relationship— something Dick could handle by himself. So why did he ask Wally to come? Was this some elaborate plan to force all three of them to talk?
Sure, Wally might have his share of family issues, but they weren’t worth addressing— especially not when compared to his teammates’ problems. And if Dick wanted to see issues where they weren’t any, well, Wally wasn’t gonna let him.

An awkward silence surrounded them, until Hal finally spoke up, his voice more than slightly nervous. “Are you sure about this, Batman?” To his everlasting credit, Bruce only hesitated for a second before grunting back a “Yes. These are allies.” The door swung open, revealing an older-looking teen with guns strapped to his thighs. The league froze. This, whatever this was, was not what they had expected when Batman himself led them to a safe-house in the middle of nowhere. The teen sighed, glaring at them.

Dick needs help for a mission to break into The Watchtower. Unfortunately, when the mission goes sideways, Batman isn't present to bail him and his partner out.
It was a simple mission really. Oracle needed some data from The Watchtower. Unfortunately, Batman was off-world on a deep space mission when his communicator had gone offline. This wasn’t much cause for concern as he was with Clark and Diana, and this had happened several times over the past couple of years. However, Batman’s off-world status meant he couldn’t retrieve the data that Oracle needed.
Usually, she would just hack the system, but Tim had installed some new security measures, and Batman’s access codes were needed to bypass them with the bat computer. All of these factors partnered together into the outline for what should have been a straightforward mission. Keywords being should have been.
