In fact, Swan has been recovering from his injuries at the assistance of his Doctor and he's taken hold of Winslow's life. There's no escape for Winslow anymore and Swan has decided to claim ownership over him entirely after the clause in his contract. Winslow's gradual and deep decay into delusion has begun after he's beaten senseless by Swan's bodyguards.

I wanted to write a fanfic the minuet the movie went off, because i wanted more interactions between Winslow and Phoenix.
Instead of Phoenix and Winlsow meeting briefly on the stairs, they have a cute little chat, and he visits her frequently as the Phantom and it horrifies her. It's a bit of a different story where Phoenix has a bit more character to her instead of being a blank canvas. This is essentially a retelling of the movie with some changes. The story takes her on as protagonist. Have fun! -
