He is a mess and struggling; lord knows he needs a break.
Shiro and Adam make Keith go out more.
Cue a meet-cute with our favourite dork.He wasn’t angry at her, not really. He was furious at everything: at the space where his mother used to be, at the father who never showed, at the universe for handing him a baby he wasn’t ready for.
But Kira didn’t know any of that.
She just knew her big brother had raised his voice. Keith closed his eyes and inhaled shakily through his nose.
“Okay.” He forced the breath out slowly. “Okay, we’re not doing that again. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
Kira’s cries softened into hiccups. Keith tucked her against his chest, her cheek hot and wet against his skin. She was so small. Too small for his anger. Too small for any of this.
He started rocking, slowly at first, then in a steady rhythm.
The chair creaked. The room swam in dim moonlight.
“Please, Kira,” he whispered, voice cracking. “Just… help me out, okay? I’m trying. I’m really trying.” -

Based on a fan art I saw on TikTok by @_slvx0. It's titled "Fake Crush." It was initially based off this comic, but I added my own twist.
Summary:
Keith and Lance are best friends from high school, one quiet and observant, the other loud and magnetic. Between coffee orders with inside jokes and parties filled with too-bright lights, their bond toes the line between platonic and something more. Keith's feelings are one-sided towards Lance until James re-enters the picture. When Lance sees them getting close, he starts reacting in ways he won’t explain. But things take a turn when, under pressure, Keith panics and says he has a crush on James. Suddenly, the teasing stops. Now Keith’s hiding the truth, Lance is acting weird, and their friendship isn’t as easy as it used to be. Neither of them knows what to say but everything’s starting to show. -

Lance, who Keith is helplessly forced to watch as a bright and powerful blast rips him and Red apart. Lance, who's so willing to sacrifice himself for him. It marks their defeat, and before Keith takes his last breath, he wishes he could just go back.

During the last battle against Honerva, things take a turn for the worse and Keith and the rest of Voltron end up dying. Keith wakes to in the past, very early on in his journey in space, even before their first encounter with Zarkon, and Keith thinks maybe he can change things.
Except Lance isn't here. Lance is missing.

And a mission gone wrong proves that when Lance pushes Allura out of the way of danger and dies as a result.Allura was too late to save him.
But the Red Lion wasn’t about to loose another Paladin due to this war.In an effort to save Lance, Red pulls his soul into her mind and connects his life source to her old Paladin, Keith.
