Shadow brought his arm to his chest to balance the fruit in his paw but, upon feeling wetness, just as quickly pulled it away, as if it burned. He glanced down to see sticky juice stains in his thick fur, the red uncomfortably visible on his white chest fluff.
“Ffffuck,” he hissed, gripping the fruit a little tighter. A few more seeds fled from their prison and onto the floor with their brethren. He quickly placed the pomegranate back onto the counter, using every bit of self restraint not to slam it down in anger, mentally berating himself.
God. Fucking. Dammit.

i hope i accurately capture and convey my emotions in a way that you can make your own.
poetry is a dying art, and i refuse to water it down to keep it around. some things just die.

Spring would come and go without her input, as it always had before her birth. But something was changing. The mortals on Earth were no longer dying, souls were no longer being reaped. A deal had been struck to keep balance in order. She was to wed the Lord of the Underworld to appease the Gods, more importantly to convince Hades to continue his work.
