Ever since Ranboo vanished over one of their brief breaks, there had been a system set up with the Brighton content creators- Everyone would take turns to head on over to Ranboo's house every few days.
1) to make sure nothing was stolen and to keep things clean
and
2) They all had the hope that maybe, just maybe, Ranboo would reappear back at his house.
It's not like Phil was expecting to ACTUALLY find Ranboo when it was his turn to check on their house, let alone a heavily injured and delirious Ranboo.

Ranboo had watched Charlie die, or at least he had assumed he watched Charlie die, and yet here he stood in front of him. There was no way this was real.
“Are you real?” Ranboo whispered, his hand falling slack against his side.
They should unlock the door. They should go inside and let everything to do with Showfall burn in the dust. They should forget that this ever happened, but the only friend he remembered was Charlie. Even from before Showfall, they'd never had anyone else.

Summary
At the end of episode three, we all said goodbye to our beloved Hero, as they were killed due to our votes. Or so we thought.
Off camera, Ranboo was still barely alive, and was thrown into the basement to be killed by the wire monster. However, Ranboo was rescued by a troubled 12 year old named Lamm who is haunted by the fact that they killed their best friend.
Together, the unlikely duo uncover secrets which could lead to the downfall of Showfall Media and safety of Ranboo's friends. But neither of them could ever be prepared for what they would soon experience, especially when one of them isn't being entirely truthful about what they know.

“Are you coming?” Charlie asked from up ahead, and Ranboo noticed the amount of distance he had put between the two.
“Yeah, yeah I’m coming,” Ranboo said, finally taking his eyes off of the now empty corner of the room. The shadow was gone, and he was fine. They weren’t going insane. They were fine. Completely fine.
Ranboo and Charlie walked through the mall together, and Ranboo couldn’t help but feel like he was being watched. They kept looking over their shoulder, and everytime he did, something moved in his peripheral vision. He assumed it was just Charlie, who was walking very carefully through the mall, and the recklessness of the movement did not match Charlie’s careful movements at all, but Ranboo was trying to convince himself that he was not insane. He was okay, just tired.
