This is usually the time where Eames would trade jabs with Arthur, poke holes into Arthur’s contingency plans, glance cursorily through Arthur’s notes and then be absolutely breathtakingly brilliant. Eames seems to be happy enough to follow Carter’s lead on this job.

    Arthur doesn’t touch his face, but his bruised skin tingles with what Arthur is steadfastly not thinking of as shame. It’s part of the job. A black eye and a spilt lip from where Carter’s ring had caught mid-strike is more cosmetic than crippling.
