"We're going to do some training exercises," Eames said in a cheerful tone that filed away at Arthur's teeth. As far as Arthur was concerned, there was a very short list of things to be cheerful about, and “training exercises” weren't on it.
Eames might be an asshole, but the fact that they can't get out of Canada is all Arthur's fault.

Others cite different mental health issues as the cause of his suicide."

Robert knows that it happened. He knows he was extracted from, and it nags at him.
He felt it immediately, the moment he stepped off the plane, and that feeling never left him again.
He remembered. A taxi, a kidnapping, a hotel, a snowy mountain. Always the same people, their faces blurred, the exact same words spoken, invading his life and taking control of it forcibly.
Something was wrong, it was abundantly clear, and it was destroying him.
