After the Omnic crisis ended and Omnics gained sentience from The Iris, many countries began to grant full-ride college scholarships to Omnics that showed academic intelligence that could benefit society as a whole.
(Y/N) had pretty much grown up in the same city her entire life. It wasn’t like it was boring- quite the opposite. The city was massive, crawling with life and cultures from around the world; tucked away in North America’s Northeastern quadrant.
(Y/n) was always the studious type, the one who got perfect grades and a 4.0 every year. It was hard work, but she had also managed to receive a full-ride scholarship for herself to their first-choice university. It was like a dream come true, and (Y/n) had no intentions of derailing that dream to party, drink, or date. It was a strict rule set by yourself that your participation in the courses you took came before anything and anyone else. No romance, limited friendships. However, in one of her courses, a particular omnic sat in the seat next to (Y/n). The feeling was innocent at first, only sneaking a passing glance before kicking herself for straying. Before long, the temptation became too much to resist until that poignant introduction slipped out.
