Summary
Nat and Van grew up together but found themselves parting ways. Until, at 20, they scraped all their money together to claw their way to Los Angeles to escape destiny of life in caravans up north. After six months Van’s getting decent work and found a girlfriend who can’t stand Natalie. Meanwhile Nat’s desperately struggling in the music industry and she just ended things (for real this time) with her on again off again boyfriend.
The pair are notified rent is going up and much to Natalie’s dismay they have to get a roommate to keep their apartment.

Lottie’s dreams had never been too pleasant, but they’d always been a constant in her life. Now, her dreams didn’t consist of any imagery, only feelings she equated with the Wilderness. Mainly the familiar stab of hunger, both physical and psychological, and a deep internal longing. Lottie knew she shouldn’t miss her time out there, she knew that it was unnatural to long for the thrill of the hunt, and the taste of blood and flesh, but she couldn’t help herself.

Across times, the stories of the prophets of multiple deities have often be told. But rarer have been the times where the other side of the story has been told. Where what those same deities' opinion of their prophets have been told. It was even rarer for the eldritch ones ruling over Hatchetfield.
As having a prophet often entailed more than simply having your glory sang by a human.

Summary
Being the prophet of a god is always brought up as that amazing thing. These people are born perfect, are paragon of moral perfection, had perfect life and always will.
Fools. Or maybe is it true for the rest of the world ? Either way, it isn't for the prophets of the eldritch deities inhabiting the Black and White, ruling over the people of the small town of Hatchetfield.
For them, serving their Lords is synonymous with fear, stress, pain, violence, destruction and death.
That is the sad truth of being a Lord's prophet.

Percy has a rather bad habit of being able to see the future. The old lady down the street is going to lose her cat, Mom is going to make pasta for dinner, Zeus' Master Bolt is going to be stolen by Luke, he's going to get a C+ in Maths.
As you can tell, this causes problems. Especially since he was born with this, and the gods have no idea he has such a gift.
At least he's always ten steps (and ten years sometimes) ahead of his enemies.

Dragons! Also vampires, elves, mages, oracles and a naga. The last two chapters are explicit, but otherwise pretty tame- excepting the torture scenes (thankfully brief). This one revolves around a project involving Tony. Tony is not a cop in this one. He cons people and takes drugs. Gibbs and Abby are pretty much the same, except supernatural.
Not bad. Wouldn’t mind reading it again someday.
