Summary
In which Obi-wan has to move back to his small hometown in the middle of nowhere, Florida, to take care of his younger siblings following the death of their adoptive father Qui-gon. Unfortunately, for as much as Obi-wan loves to act like he has everything and anything together, like he was put together, he was just as much of a mess as everyone else. Who was he kidding? He was more of a mess. He had barely managed to get a routine implemented when it was him alone, but now caring for both Anakin and Ahsoka while attempting to ignore the pressing issue that he hadn't been home in years and left on bad terms with Qui-gon, the one time he visited. Obi wasn't cut out for this, and he knew it. A fiasco in the kitchen provides a distraction with a firefighter on the phone who had a nice voice and a sharp mind, but it was just that, a distraction. Obi-wan was counting himself lucky if he managed to make it through the week without being utterly consumed by the guilt of unsaid words and the whispers of broken promises that haunted him throughout his childhood home.

Summary
After Maul kills Qui-Gon in a way where he can't speak his final message to Obi-Wan, Obi-wan becomes mad with vengeance. After his conscious turn to the Dark Side, he leaves the Jedi Order and vows vengeance.
Ten years later, Maul gets a mysterious holo call from an unknown source that simply says:
"If you want to see your only family again, come alone to Lotho Minor. You know where. I’ll be waiting."
Maul didn't know how this person knew he was alive, or that he had a brother. But he can't risk losing his only apprentice.
