This is actually a re-write of a three-chapter short story thing I wrote based on a conversation prompt a friend gave me.
The initial prompt was for chapter one, and I got carried away and made two extra chapters. For the re-write, the prompt has been scrapped, because I forced it to work and it made zero sense, now the story works and it great.

Ten years before being hired by a group of misfits to go on a trip to Nibelheim, Cid Highwind finds something precious inside the ShinRa Manor, and damn him if he wouldn't help the man.
