Wu raised the polearm, pointing the tip at the Land Bounty, and suddenly, a powerful spell shot out. Magenta mixed with a glowing yellow, and it enveloped the vehicle. Like so many others, it caused it to shrink into a tiny white point, leaving nothing behind. For a second, all is quiet, and Wu stares at where they were just a second ago.
He immediately tosses the scroll away in disgust. The gravity of what he’s just done hits him full force, and he collapses to his knees, tears welling up in his eyes and falling. Wu sobs quietly, the heartwrenching sound echoing off the walls of the courtyard. He had just doomed the rest of his students, his nephew, and his son to death.
