Summary
Despite dying a horrible death twice, Morro still doesn't get to rest. Instead he appears in a weird version of Ninjago City next to a different Lloyd and gets told (by the Green Ninja) that there is no Green Ninja.
Of course, Morro will turn this to his advantage, finally assuming his rightful role and becoming the leader of this Secret Ninja Force that's running around, right? There's no way he'll end up growing attached to this pitiful Lloyd imitation and help him reach his destiny or something. That's what good guys do.

No response. Lloyd didn’t open his eyes. Just lay draped across the toilet, legs bent uncomfortably against the damp tile.
“…Unless,” Morro spoke, though it came out more a mocking hiss than anything civil, “you wanna tell me yourself why the fated green ninja would be slashing his own wrists.”
TL/DR: Lloyd Garmadon has issues. So does the guy possessing him.

By pure chance, and absolute hot-headed and stubbornness, Kai ends up going to the museum instead of Lloyd. Cue the chaos.
Now all Morro wants to do is see the similarities. Kai wants to see the differences again... and the ability to mind his own business.
Or I've been starved for fics between Morro and Kai possessed au's and decided to make my own version of events. In research, I found a couple of Pinterest art ideas and a few Tumblr prompts.
Also, I wrote the first six chapters last year, but I just never finished the story then, and found and edited them this week. I decided I might as well post them. Who knows, maybe I will find the motivation to actually finish it?

Lloyd and Mr. E glanced at each other, “Okay, so it was made by an ice elemental. That explains some things,” the former conceded, “but how does that prove Zane is the Ice Emperor? This could be some great coincidence!” Pixal shook her head, “Zane was holding the scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu when he was banished to the Never Realm.”
There was a look of horrified realization, “Which Master Wu said would corrupt anyone who held it,” Lloyd whispered, hands on his mouth. Mr. E muttered something intelligible, but Pixal understood it completely. “I cannot explain the time difference, but this conclusion makes the most logical sense.”
“Oh no, Zane-” Lloyd turned away, hands digging into his hair as he struggled to process everything he had learned. “Oh god, Akita-!” Akita was taken, dragged off to the Ice Palace, where only his grandfather knew what they were going to do to her. The Zane he knew was built to protect, but with that stupid scroll in his possession, there was no telling what would happen.

Sure, it was great that Kai and Nya's parents had been rescued from captivity, Cole's Mother was cured of the poison that no one knew about, Zane got two Dads to raise him, Jay's Mother was saved from being killed by Master Chen, and Lloyd got a GIANT family that adored him...
...but did redemption REALLY mean that Morro had to stick around babysitting the child versions of his old enemies?
And for one of them to even think Morro was their DAD???
Honestly, Morro should've stayed dead.
(AKA: A Time Travel/Fix-It AU where Morro was sent back in time by FSM, but didn't expect anyone to want him around after he'd saved all their lives and fixed most of their problems. What an idiot.)

Morro is resurrected and put back into his own body, right where he left it. He doesn’t know how this happened or why the cloud kingdom likes to fuck with him so much, but if he ever gets a chance to go back he knows he is burning the place to the ground.
He is found not by the ninja but a trio of.. interesting people to say the least - what’s with the cat ears and the horns?? Traveling with new companions Morro tries to convince a boy that reminded him too much of himself to return home, before history repeats itself.
Meanwhile the ninja scramble to figure out where Ras was taking Arin and Sora, they needed to tell them that Ras had lied. They knew where Arin’s parents were.
Little did the ninja know that they would run into a familiar face, one they had thought, had *hoped*, they were never going to see again. Chaos ensues.TLDR

(A Kai antihero/villain fic in which he stuck to his original convictions and didn’t ever truly become a ninja. Morro comes along and finds an explosive amount of potential in what he believes is a kindred and powerful spirit. Chaos ensues. A lot of mess and explored dynamics, along with a healthy dose of nuancing current character point I either felt were under-discussed or thought would be fun additions. Hope you enjoy!)
