Finally, a rest. A nice one too.
The party had been adventuring together for awhile, and they had finally found a nice hotel to rest in for a night. They really needed it.
Everyone sorta did their own thing around the place. Mario and Goombella opted to stay in their room, but for different reasons.
Mario passed out on a bed, while Goombella decided to get some reading in. Archaeology stuff, of course. They'd come across too much fascinating stuff on their journey to not read up on what they'd seen. And hey, maybe it'd even end up helping her with her university work.
She sat there on the bed beside Mario's, attentively reading for awhile, until she heard a snore to her side.
She looked over at Mario, and found him comedically snoring away on his bed.
Not just snoring, though. Before long, he started audibly dreaming about pasta.
Goombella couldn't help but giggle at him, her heart fluttering a little at the sight before her...
It was cute.
