Summary
“Hey Monkey King what, uh, what are you doing here?” MK joins in, nervous. He peeks out from behind Macaque to see the monkie’s smile grow larger, almost too large. It brings a shiver down MK’s spine.
… And when did it get so cold?
MK grips his furry arms, trying to find some warmth. Surprisingly, it doesn’t work. Even his new, fluffy fur can’t stop the weird coldness. They let a gasp out and white air is breathed into the supposedly summer night.
Uh oh.
“Mon-” MK goes to speak up, but the king's smile stretches up like a horror movie, shutting them up in fear. Nevermind. This is not his beloved mentor.

Remember the coldest winter AU? I love the concept and thought I'd take a crack at it! This is also inspired by a few others works but mainly does have my own lore I made up.

Long ago, after the Pillar of Heaven was shattered and the realms were plagued with disaster, the mother goddess Nuwa crafted the five color stones and reformed the world anew with a sacrifice of her life. But she knew that her children needed to be protected. So, in her stead, she entrusted the duty and the power of the stones to the six guardians of humanity.
The red, blue, green, and purple stones went to The Four Symbols: The Vermillion bird, the Black Tortoise, the Teal Dragon, and the White Tiger.
The yellow stone was entrusted to the Jade Emperor.
And, crafted from the primordial chaos itself, raised in the Chaos Beyond until it was time for his purpose to be complete. Destined to be the one to end the cycle and save the rotting, chaos-infested world. To be the hero the abandoned mortals need, with sacrifice as his sole purpose. A being who will follow the path Mother has made for him until the cycle no longer needs him.

Summary
When the Nine-Headed Demon struck the young hero's stone, it happened eons before it was fated to. The Harbinger of Chaos had yet to fully form, so the chaos the Harbinger was created from and the remnants of Sun Wukong's powers from the reused stone were separated. Unknown to the Nine-Headed Demon, two beings were born on that dark, stormy night.
Twin siblings, MK and LC, Qi Xiaotian and Xiao Hunluan, the Monkie Kid and the Harbinger.
The Monkie Kid was a child who knew nothing of his past or future, his powers locked away, and his purpose nonexistent. He was human in every way the Harbinger was not. The Harbinger remembered every cycle, knew their purpose from the moment consciousness was theirs, and was well aware that something had gone wrong.
But both would do anything to protect their sibling in arms.
Or, a spinoff of MK and the Harbinger, where they’re brothers. And everyone gets an older sibling, because why not.

Minglou - The Jade Spider Queen. Elder sister of the Emerald Spider Queen and mother of Spindrax in my storys, read Into the Spider's Web and The Spider's Web to know more about her.
Jingzhao - The Emerald Spider Queen. this is the name I gave her in Into the Spider's Web and The Spider's Web.
Zhaozhan - Huntsman's name in my works.
