This anime/ manga has been such a comfort series for me as someone who also really struggled in middle school and just school in general. Young me always made up so many stories of herself interacting with the characters and me as an adult want to create a work that a younger me would be happy to read.

Shiota Nagisa, a boy who's always been mistaken as a girl, although he has made it obvious he doesn't like these labels given to him, he feels as he cannot do anything to confront these people, as some of them are his precious friends too. What would they think of him? pathetic?
But, Nagisa Shiota has been hurting a little more than usual, how will he continue to hide these problems when it's all becoming more obvious now? Either way, he will try his best to hide these problems as he thinks it will bring harm to his friends.

Nagisa Shiota, a fifteen-year-old boy who goes to Kunugigaoka Junior High, a prestigious school for kids all over Japan though he is not that special since he was sent down to the lowest of the lows, 3-E, 'the end class' where students who fail to maintain the standards required to stay on the main campus were sent. An old shack that was made out of wood with a crazy high hike every day.
He was lying on the floor bruised, his hair down messily, all because he came home later than usual and got stuck with a group project. He'd offered to help his classmates carry the supplies out back to their correct place, and he also stayed behind to help clean up the classroom since it was a mess after home-ec.
"I'm sorry, Mom. It won't... happen again." Nagisa said weakly, finding the strength to apologise for his mistake.
