"I know you hate doing this," Arthur said slowly, his words deliberate but thick with emotion. “But you always do. Even when I don’t ask. Even when I’m a stubborn idiot who doesn’t deserve it.”
Merlin’s heart skipped a beat. He blinked, his mouth opening as if to respond, but no words came. His breath hitched at the sincerity in Arthur’s voice. It was strange, hearing Arthur like this—without the usual sarcasm, without the walls of pride and bravado that usually stood between them.

Arthur catches a terrible cold but refuses to rest. Merlin, fed up, forces him to stay in bed and takes care of him—grumbling all the while. Eventually, Arthur, half-delirious, keeps mumbling soft confessions about how much he appreciates Merlin.

Summary
Outlaw John Marston ends up being saved by a sick rancher named Arthur Morgan. He recovers at Hosea Matthews ranch. Offered a job, and working with the Van Der Linde gang who want to rob the place, John must get close before the gang does their final score.
